Yaa Asare
Yaa Asare is a dedicated and passionate lawyer committed to providing quality legal services rooted in integrity, professionalism, and compassion. With a strong foundation in both Canadian and international legal systems, Yaa brings a global perspective to her practice and a client-first approach to every case.
Yaa Asare offers personalized legal services tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Her practice focuses on Immigration and Refugee Law, Family Law, Labour and Employment Law, and Criminal Law, with a particular interest in supporting marginalized and immigrant communities
Yaa Asare holds a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and is licensed as a barrister and solicitor with the Law Society of Ontario. She has gained valuable experience through the Law Practice Program at Toronto Metropolitan University and trained with Kingsley Jesuorobo and Associates, where she focused on Immigration and Refugee law.
Before establishing her law practice in Canada, Yaa Asare was called to the bar in Ghana, West Africa, and practiced law. She served as an associate attorney with S.K. Boafo & Company in Accra, Ghana, where she represented clients in court, negotiated settlements, and provided legal opinions on complex matters.
She also worked as a lawyer with the Human Rights Commission in Ghana, where she advocated and defended the rights of the poor, persons with disabilities, as well as women and children.
Yaa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Professional Administration, and was trained at the prestigious Ghana School of Law.
Beyond her legal work, Yaa Asare is deeply committed to social justice and community engagement. She has volunteered with organizations such as Lighthouse Emergency Shelter in Orillia, Simcoe County, and served as a Human Rights Trainer for INERELA Ghana, helping educate communities on their rights and advocating for equitable systems.
